Investigation and Evaluation of Flue Gas Pollutants Emission in Waste-to-Energy Plant with Flue Gas Recirculation

چکیده
The emissions of pollutants by waste-to-energy power plants, which contain more toxic substances owing to the complicated composition municipal solid waste (MSW), such as NOx, SO2, HCl, HF, particulate matter, and heavy metals, has attracted increasing attention worldwide. To effectively control pollutants, a flue gas cleaning system is indispensable in operation MSW incineration plants. In this study, plant with recirculation (FGR) was evaluated. concentrations various were measured compared standards at home abroad. results indicated that NOx emission can be reduced FGR, concentration may meet national only adopting FGR. However, levels HCl PM exceeded limits legislative standards; therefore, optimization or retrofit deacidification bag filter proposed comply international near-zero-emissions goal.

متن کاملFlue Gas Cooling
When waste heat is not utilized, cooling of flue gases in special cooling chambers becomes necessary, if the dust':'collecting and associated equipment is constructed of metal. The two most common methods of cooling are by dilution with ambient air, and by evaporation of water in the gas stream. Usually, they are combined. Load sharing depends largely on acceptable visibility of stack effluvia ...
متن کاملFlue gas desulfurization
Flue gas desulfurization is commonly known as FGD and is the technology used for removing sulfur dioxide (SO2) from the exhaust combustion flue gases of power plants that burn coal oroil to produce steam for the turbines that drive their electricity generators. The most common types of FGD contact the flue gases with an alkaline sorbent such as lime or limestone. As sulfur dioxide is responsibl...
متن کاملCleaning of Municipal Waste Incinerator Flue Gas in Europe
The paper discusses the various methods used in Europe to reduce emissions of pollutants from the stack gases of municipal incinerators. With respect to NOx, the paper mentions two experimental postcombustion control approaches involving the addition of chemicals to the wet-scrubber system to oxidize or reduce the NOx to absorbable NO 2 or dischargeable N 2. As pointed out , these methods would...
متن کاملCo2 Emission from Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator: Ipcc Formula Estimation and Flue Gas Measurement
Although most of the air pollutants can be removed with air pollution control facilities, the greenhouse gas (carbon dioxide) is unavoidably released into the atmosphere from the flue gas during waste incineration. The amounts of CO2 emitted from municipal solid waste incinerators are usually estimated following the guidelines set down by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Ho...
